Conditions We Treat

Hover your mouse over the HotSpots below to see some of the conditions we treat. If you would like more information about your individual injury or problem, then please do not hesitate to call us to discuss it.

Assessment & Examination

Your first appointment will involve a thorough examination and assessment.  This is the key to treating you and your condition properly.  In order to find long-term solutions to your injury or pain problem we must identify the root of the problem.

We understand that often the tingling in your foot is actually being caused by the nerve in your spine being irritated, (yes, you knew that too) BUT the real root of the problem might be that you have poor abdominal muscles which do not support your spine and posture properly, thus causing compression and irritation of the nerve!  So, yes mobilising the spine may decompress the nerve and improve the tingling, but without dealing with the true root of the problem it will probably just come back again!!  We’ll deal with the real root of the problem- improving your abdominal muscles and your posture.)

We also offer women’s health physiotherapy services- focussing on post-natal conditions working on pelvic floor problems, low back pain etc.

GAITSCAN

When examining and assessing patients with foot, ankle and even knee pain looking at the mechanics of the feet is essential. BOOST PHYSIO has invested in a GAITSCAN system to better enable us to examine our patients' gait and walking.

The GAITSCAN system is a sophisiticated pressure plate with over 4000 sensors that is connected to a computer system. When we perform a GAITSCAN gait analysis our patient walks over the pressure plate which takes over 300 readings every second and feeds this to our computer system generating a very detailed report. The report shows us and our patient where most pressure is occuring under their feet, if the foot alignment is correct, we can even look the pressure under each of the toes! Read more about the GAITSCAN here.
